We are Batata.
Batata is a games studio and a feed in one. We build small games and we built the place you play them: a vertical feed where every card is a game that is already running.
The idea is simple to say. Short games belong in the format short videos taught everyone. A run of Hot Potato lasts forty seconds. So does a TikTok. One of them leaves you with a score and a grudge.
We build every game in-house. That is a choice, not a stage. It means the catalogue is small and gets bigger only as fast as we can make things we would play ourselves. It also means everything in the feed loads in seconds and plays with one thumb.
We are a small team. We ship most days. The product you see this week is measurably different from last week, and the gap is public: every game shows its play count.
What we think is happening
Games are becoming something you scroll. Attention moved to vertical feeds years ago and every other medium followed it there. Music did. Video did. Games are still handed out through stores built for fifty-dollar boxes. We think the next hundred million players will meet games inside a feed, one swipe at a time. Batata is that feed.
